The CPA Exam community & online study group to help you pass!
Well, I've started studying for the first section i'm going to take (Auditing) and it's been a week now. Still haven't received my NTS, so hopefully that goes through without any hitches because i'm dying to schedule this exam so I can properly assess how much time I have left and what I should focus on the most. First week mostly went without any hitches. I really need to zero in and focus a lot more on the material in hand. It's very easy to get distracted and you end up surfing the web for a while. I understand there is no "right" way in studying this material. Some people are going to do it differently and in ways that suit their strengths. I have a feeling it's going to take me an exam or so until I figure out what really works for me. Right now I'm looking at the videos online for the Auditing section and following inside the lecture book, highlighting as I go along. Then, after the video is finished, I try to go back and read and look over the material and major points that I highlighted. After that, It's pretty much all MC for that specific section.
I know some people like to make notecards.. for those that did make notecards.. did you do it after finishing each section? Did you do it after finishing the entire video lecture? (if you did study this way). Like I said, people study in different ways.. hopefully I find out the best study method for me soon. Thanks for reading.
