Now is the time to study and listen to the experts

As David said in another blog F, A, R, B are the recommended order of taking the examines.

I have been out of undergrad for 20 years.  I finished my executive MBA in June, 2011.  I needed two more accounting classes so I took them in fall (audit and tax).  As a preparation for the CPA exam I took the CMA exam (pass rate is even lower than CPA between 40% exam 1 and 36% exam 2) and passed on both on my first try (helps to be a finance grad).  So I decided to register for Audit and Reg first.

I finished the Audit CPA REview from Yaeger.  It was very helpful and a good review for an audit class I just took.  I actually learned more than in my audit class.

The key to studying successfully is listen to the experts and remember the goal is 75 or above.  The experts say to manage your time, read carefully and use a strategy.  The key to answer any questions is eliminating the wrong answers while you determine the right answer.

Know your strengths and play to them.  I prefer to start with harder items first, but I have pushed the FAR section to my third exam.

Keep a positive attitude and study.
