"Scores are received from the AICPA and processed individually into NASBA's National Candidate Database (NCD). Once all the scores have been processed and are in NCD, an announcement is sent out so you can begin checking for your score(s).
It is possible that during processing, a person could randomly check for their score and it be one of the ones that have completed processing, so it is available. This is why some candidates were able to get their FAR scores before the official announcement was made."
with the following from NASBA in the comments:
"National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) It's a database, so it has to replicate thousands of scores throughout the system. If you don't see yours, keep checking. If, after a reasonable amount of time (based on what others have posted), you don't see your score, then we probably don't have your information yet. Sorry, that may not the best/clearest answer, but it's the way this process has been established. Good luck!"
