Pounding Out MCQ’s | Alison's CPA Exam Journey

So this past week was rewrite-your-notes-week. I pretty much finished them except I have about 14 pages left. I decided to take a break from that tonight since my hand hurts too much when I write for too long. But who’s doesn’t right? So instead me and my study buddy Kim are pounding out the MCQs tonight. I haven’t done any in about a week, and thought it would be a good idea to revisit them. I’ve only…

Just Do It | Catrina's CPA Exam Journey

This past week while studying for BEC, I found myself saying a recognizable phrase over in my head – “Just Do It.” While I knew that Nike was responsible for this phrase I became intrigued as to why they coined the phrase and how I started saying it. I did a little research and the phrase is actually around 24 years old this month. I read a statement regarding the slogan by Nike U.S. advertising director Chris…

Cold Feet

I find myself procrastinating or feeling unsure if I really want to take the Exam.  I can easily afford the fees, and have the time to study (not working).  But I feel like after I pay them, I might change my mind and not want to take it at all.  I would hate to lose the money (by not taking it or having a halfhearted attempt and failing) even though it's nothing for me.  So I guess I have cold feet.  Any thoughts?  Should I just schedule it and see what happens? -…

Face Difficulties Positively

Posted in Motivation Group by Divya Govil

nice motivational story I came across:

FACE DIFFICULTIES POSITIVELY:

This parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the mule praying or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his…
