Although I understand all these points very well, planning well and attacking the CPA exam (one at a time) is going to be a real challenge for me. Please keep in mind, I graduated 20 years ago. In other words, I'm hardly in touch…

I would suggest to buy the new ones instead of used. If you have any doubt about the stock at Amazon, I would say they will be up to date but you can also try at Barnes and Nobles website. The only difference in the cost is state tax.

I would love to sit for it by the end of August; however, I am not sure if I will be ready. So, it may be at the start of the next test window - October.
Last November while I was waiting for the Reg test results, I started studying Audit. (And I would welcome your comments and thoughts on Audit.) I think I only had one audit class way back when and much of this felt new. One thing I have notice in the study materials is some overlap of some of the subject matter. So my thinking is, for example, if I can get a good handle on say Sarbanes-Oxley then it should make things easier for both Audit and Reg. I would think too that it will be covered under one of the other topics as well. (Just a thought:) I hope to be able to sit for this one as well in the next test window.
I just "officially" joined this site today after seeing your blog and have yet to post a bio on myself. Maybe in the next few days...
Look forward to working with you.
Looking for a study mate in Omaha, NE. Willing to work hard to get through all the 4 exams.
